the notification clearly says that the employee whose employment is terminated on or after the 24th may 2010 so in your case the amount will be 3.5 lacs

i want to clerify that if an employee retired before 24th may 2010, and payment has been transferred by his employer after 24th may 2010, then wats the exempted gratuity, 3.5lacs or 10 lacs
