Strong Faith in Resilience of Indian Economy: FM

The Union Finance Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee has said that he has strong faith in the resilience of the Indian economy. He stated that we will be able to overcome successfully the difficulties presently facing the Indian economy so as to get it back to the path of higher growth trajectory. He was addressing the officers of Indian Economic Service of 2011 batch here today.

 

The Finance Minister Shri Mukherjee urged the IES officers to dedicate themselves fully to the service of the people of the country. He said that a positive approach would help them in building their career besides giving them job satisfaction. Giving a brief overview of the Indian economy, the Finance Minister said though the present trends are not very encouraging yet the service sector is doing well and agricultural growth is also expected to be good on account of expected good monsoons. The Finance Minister Shri Mukherjee was confident that the country would successfully overcome all the challenges facing the Indian economy.
