The budget is without direction. The only direction that I see is that it has aimed for harsh decisions for curbing inflation. Raising taxes, not lowering interest rates, not encouraging investments all point towards taking away the extra cash in the system till the demand tinkers to the bottom. This will lower demand and hence prices. Oil price is something that no government has any control. The short term trends shall be inflationery
