I Would Like To suggest you that you should go for Coaching Classes For This Subject...Because In this subject scoring 40 is not very easy ..Practical Knowlede is essential . With the help of Any Private Institute you can easily Score 50+ ..

I would half agree with you on this that its not easy to get 40 but its not hard too.. i.e. there are practical portions but more of the exam papers comes more of theory... correct me if i am wrong ? so firstly i would suggest to read from modules itself as they are good and compressed.... if you want to go for a refernece book then dinesh madan is good...

first thing it is not tough to score 40 marks in IT - SM, bt some students do not score gud because they dont give importance to this. For self study purpose nitesh kumar for sm is really good
