Whether nri through its nre account can invest in llp

Can NRI is allowed to invest through his NRE account in the capital of LLP. NRI want to become partner in LLP, the LLP business is of construction and developing Residential complex. The amount which is lying in his NRE account is brought from his foreign operation.

Is there any restriction by RBI in this transaction. 

or Is there any voilation of FEMA?
