My query is, suppose i am earning 39000 rs as intrest on FD and aproxy total 4000 rs TDS deducted by bank then which amount is mentioned in efilling. (income other then salary).

39000/- or 35000/- ????

Rs. 39000 would be mentioned as the Income from Fixed Deposit and Rs. 4000 would be mentioned as the TDS deducted thereon..

and rs.4000 will be show as prepaid tax and can be claimed as refund or adjusted against tax as the case may be.

Rs 39000/- will be taken as TDS is a deemed income.
