Shaileshbhai' s appointment is the best piece of news we have heard
in
several years!

*It is a real breakthrough for all of us RTI Activists, because by
walking
the talk and reducing pendencies, he can set standards/benchmark s of
performance for other Information Commissioners to follow.
Shaileshbhai now
has a chance to reform the system by leading from the front!*

I have no doubt that his appointment will set off a number of
virtuous
cycles within the system.

The fact that he is voluntarily forgoing all the privileges that go
with his
position further sets an example of personal integrity and clarity of
objectives -- much needed in India's muddied public life.

Here is wishing Shaileshbhai more power and inner strength! May his
tribe
increase!
