hi , i have cleared my PE II in nov 2007 and joined as article on 6th feb 2008.
i have received my registration letter which says my final attempt is in nov 2010 (i.e. after completion of 21/2 years of articleship)
But all my seniors in office have got their final attempt after completion of 2 years of articleship.
please tell me if anyone else have got such information and anyone knows why the time gap between PE II and Final has increased?

yes KRATI since u would had been registered under the NEW FINAL COURSE in which u will only be eligible to write ur final exams after 2 1/2 years of completion of ur articleship whereas ur seniors would had been registered under the old final course in which one can appear in the Final exams after 2 yrs of completion of articleship.
Since last attempt for C.A Final old course is NOV'09 you would most probably be registered under the New Final Course hence ur attempt will only be after 2 1/2 yrs of completion of articleship.
NEW RULES we as students can't help it. Anyways as the very famous saying goes " The only that's permanent in life is a CHANGE" applies very well to ur case.
U may feel free to revert wid any query of urs.

all your seniors are in the old course. So, they get their final attempt after 2 years while you are now regd. for the new course. As per the latest notification students clearing PE-2 in and after nov. 2007 will be eligible to appear for final new course pending 2and 1/2 years of their articleship.

I am going to appear PE II Group II in May2008.
can you please provide the chapterwise allocation of marks for Group II papers.
Any special areas to concentrate in Group II papers( specially Income tax and costing).

hi, i want 2 ask u that i have passed my PE2 exam in nov2007. and i m taking my articleship in bad ca firm . i heard from my friend tat i cant transfer one employer to other employer. it is true? is it any amendment done by icai for PE2 nov passed student? pls give me ans as i face lot of problem in this ca firm reply asap

hi Mukesh, icai is soon going to put ban on transfer, therefore if you want to take transfer from your firm take it soon.
there is no special amendment for PE2 students.

Hi,
I have also cleared PE2 in Nov 2007 with first class first attempt and applied for big and medium size firms but I am not getting reply from good firms. Do these firms have any selection procedure for Articleship? What should I do? Plese advise.
