Thanks for telling the name of the best CA firms at the National Level. Can you please also tell me the address of the firms mentioned by you with some more good firms at the National Level whose branches are situated in Delhi.
I think you are not living in delhi or you might not have interaction with the senior chartered accountants else you won't say that the above mentioned firms are not the good firms in delhi.
Some Instances : Regarding Grant Thornton : having Audits of IBM, Infosys, TCS etc.
Regarding Lodha & Co. : having audit of IGL, JK Group
Regarding Khanna & Anandham : Having audit of Ansal Group
The above list is for those who are living in delhi and want to do articleship in delhi and not out of delhi.

Isn't Grant Thornton an internationally recognized firm? What are their entry standards like how difficult is it to get in there?

Hi Ravi
Yes you are right Ravi, it is an internationally recognised firm.
You have to send them your CV and if they are interested in you then they will call you for the Group Discussion (Around 6-7 persons at a time). They want to see your patience, your ability to hear and your response during the discussion, your communication skills & your personality.
After that they will take a normal written test in case you pass the group discussion round.
This is all what I know about the GT as I myself have attended their GD round.

Hello Ravi,
The questions usually ask in the interview are:-
1. Describe yourself
2. Your Strength & weeknesses
3. Are you able to work for long
4. What r the places you have visited (they want to know whether you are ready to go outstation for audit work)
5. Some general questions from Accounting Standards. Most Important AS are : AS 5,6,10,16,18,19,20,22.
6. General Questions from Income Tax mainly from Return of Income, Assessment Procedures.
You are just required to be confident while giving the interview, this is what they want. They themselves know that they cannot expect from a student to know everything.

Generally the work in CA institute is controlled from both the offices i.e. at ITO and Shahdara but it is better to go Shahdara because here all work is done which might not be done at ITO office.

Yes our marks do matter in selection process but only in respect of some of the top firms.
It is generally recommended to send your resume through post or by hand addressing to the HR manager.
