Dear Mr Rajesh Kumar, Thanks for sharing the info. It means form ER-1 can be consider as evidence of excise duty paid, if applicable, subject to its submission against return number. Am I right. I am confirming this, coz the form E.R.1 about which i am discussing is giving details only about clearance & N.T. notification availed used for clearance. But payment of any excise duty (Point no. 04 in form E.R.1) is not available.

Dear Mr. Shri

As stated by Mr. Rajesh, ER-1 in a whole package is the return of production, clearance and payment thereof.

I agree with Mr. Rajesh, but as a documentary evidence in case of PLA, bank acknowledged copy will be the instrument for excise duty paid through PLA and in Cenvat , your cenvat detail alongwith cenvat bill on which you have claimed the cenvat credit shall be the instrument.

Regards

HS Negi
