CA IS A VERY EASY COURSE -- SO CHILL!!!

Hi ,

There are many ca student who are very afraid of clearing the course as they have been taught that it is very hard to clear and at the same time there are few ca and would be ca who are very proud of themselves , and prove to be out of this world and they try to insult the students who are below ca. bcoz they have a wrong thinking that they have cleared or is going to clear the most tough exam of the country,,,,,,,,,, Grown up !!! yaar,,,,,,,,Sory to say but you dont have any idea of the world.. It's the biggest mistake of our lives.......... Ca is no doubt a good course and has a good future prospects but it is not at all tough,,, u can say this course to b lenghty  but not tough.....  there are many more professions in which students need much more labour and brain then we do..........they are more intellegent and talented than us,,, they might get lesser salary but we dont even have 10% of IQ level in equal to them,,,,, The following points written below has proved that we are good , but they are they are the Best: :

1. IIT is known to be the best exam of the country,, only 850 students clear it every year at an age o18 -19 years beside clearing there XII exam at the same time......They are the most creative students in the world,, they have made it possible to get the pleasure of everything if you have the money to pay, e.g: touch screen cell, laptops, cars , plane and even softwares with help of which we ca's earn money, like erp, sap, tally and the cci site also which is built by software devlopers.

2. scientists of resarch centres e.g nasa...... can we say that a ca or cpa or cima is talented then them ,,,ha ha ha ,,, then we are mad........

3. IIM students get huge salary as compare to ca,,,,,,,,,,,,, higest package is 1.6 crore,, and in avg, 10-12 lakhs pa..... only 600 students get chance in iim every year,,,,,,, at the other hand 5000-7000 students clear ca each year,....they specially get the post of ceo & md

4.IS , IPS & IAS :: as we all know that students have to start back from there first level if they cant clear the 2nd or third level,,, but we ca dont give cpt again if we cant clear ipcc or final.........only 100 students clear this exams........

5. MD & MS : doctors are called as god in the present world ,,, and doctors with this degrees have the quality to make a almost dead person alive,,,, doctors of velor , applo are the examples,,,,even a rank holder ca cant even pronunce the words they read in there books,,,,,,,,, they have a special dictionery to understand the meaning of those,, oxford dictionery also fails to get the meaning of there words.... they need extraordinary memory.

6, Even a student with 40 -45% marks in X,XII & B.COM can clear ca is one or hardly 2 -3 attempts .. but they dont even have the dare to think of clearing  any of the above course....

7. tax is the bread and butter of a ca student,,,no other profession study tax as much as we do,, but an income tax officer also compute tax very sincerly in equvalent to a ca ,,, but his qualification is not more than b.com /m.com... then how can he know tax as much as a ca,, singhania's tax book is the most tought tax book in the country and most of the ca student is afraid of it,, & it is followed by every ca,,, but singhania himself is Phd in economics.....

8.a course which can be cleared by even ordinary students by taking tutions of 5mths & revision of 2 mths only,,, can you call it a hard course....... u r a mad, dear !!!!!

9. ca exam is given by commerce student ,, and mostly b grade student study commerce... topers of the school or state generally prefer science.... that means  we are given competition with other ordinary students,,,, so if they can be a ca then why cany we,,,,,

So all upcoming ca ,, please dont get afraid  dont listen to them who are always trying to demoralize you,,, you can clear it....if you cant clear it one time or two time , it doesnot mean that you can not,,,, concentrate on your studies, obviously you can, in next attempt...............if students mentioned in above courses can clear it , then are we not that much talented to clear ca!!!!!! if we are having hard times then they are having more hard times then us

I only agree with u till some extent. CA is not that tough but it requires a strong wil to complete it.

I strongly disagree with you  on following points:-

1. I strongly disagree with u regarding that we dont have 10% IQ. 

2. EVERYONE WHO JOIN IIT ARE CREATIVE. It is not like that. Creativity can be applied in any subject and depends on the individual. 

3. A MD and MS students cannot read LAW as we do or understand the basic contents of financial management. IT IS THE COURSE IN WHICH U WORK WILL PROVIDE AWARENESS. 

4. Dont even try to compare IIM subject knowledge with CA. I have friends in IIM's. They get jobs on the skills they posses in PPT, communication skills etc. Coming to subject knowledge we r much ahead of them. Once go through the curriculum. 

5. Scientists - For ur kind info scientists are the person who do research in their favorite subject.  Anyone can be a scientist if they have desire on any subject after doing CA. 

Civils course is really the toughest of all courses. I am not here to say CA course is toughest, but it is really ONE OF THE RARE COURSES WHERE YOUR DETERMINATION IS TESTED,

Very true.....each and every point raised by u are literally true... ofcourse, few students who hav misconceptions(wch u discussed above) are hard to digest the facts SO, they will oppose and disagree wid u. .  i m sure so many oppositions yet to come for this topic ....

but cent percent, u are correct....  agree wid you completely.

CA IS NOT HARD BUT THE APPROACH OFSOME OF OUR  FRIENDS IS NOT RIGHT .

THEY LEAVE EVERY THINGH FOR LAST 6 MONTHS AND THAT'S IS NOT HARD. BUT IT DEMANDS HUGE QUANTUM OF LABOUR

AND I WOULD LIKE TO ADD IF YOU GIVE 100% IN YOUR ARTICLESHIP , WHERE YOUR CA APPRECIATES YOUR WORK , YOU DO NOT JUST COUNT 7 HOURS IN A OFFICE

THEN THE BEAUTY OF THIS COURSE COMES FORWARD

YOU ARE EXHAUSTED AFTER THE DAY IN OFFICE . AND WHEN YOU COME HOME . YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SEE IPL BIT STUDY FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS BEFORE SLEEPING.

AGAIN IT IS NOT HARD . IT'S ALL ABOUT TIME MANAGEMENT. IT'S JUST ABOUT TESTING YOUR BODY'S LIMIT

AND FURTHER

YOU DO NOT NEED COACHING TO CLEAR  A EXAM

i do accept CA is not a tough course

but i dont accept the comments that 

only B grade students go for commerce,

we lack creativity,

IIT & IIM are the most brilliant etc

we are different

and coming to the curicullum, we are far ahead from the curicullum of of IIM

you are a ca , that is why your thoughts are flying

i will agree with you only one point about IAS   ,5 lakhs  writing and clearing only 100 in a year...really touphest in the world.IIT, IIMs etc are all coaching & mock tests coaching & mock tests and coaching & mock tests... Really brilliant and creative people will not do all those mentioned cources...they will move their on way..they dont need any professional qualifications incl ca..

IIT and IIM people are intelligent and smart... CAs are not necessarily intelligent or smart... CAs are hardworking....and CAs have a lot more information and knowledge. Depends on what you think is more important... Intelligence or knowledge....

MBA curriculum cannot be compared to CA because they have quite different jobs in the corporate world than CAs. We dont even have same job profiles as MBAs.

You are not entirely wrong in saying that CAs do not have as good IQ as compared to IIM/IIT people. That is because IIM IIT people have overall development unlike CAs where we are stuck to bookish knowledge and theoretical concepts.

You can realise it from the fact that if you see in the corporate world, most of the IIM graduates are in top management of companies today if not the CEO... while there are so many CAs who when you deal with them, you wonder how on earth did they pass that exam being so stupid... that is because to become a CA, you dont need intelligence or logic or IQ or smartness... you need only one thing however stupid you may be... that is HARD WORK.

Speaking of curriculum, we are proud that our curriculum is vast and covers much more than what MBAs cover. I agree with that. But if you actually sit down and think how much and what topics of each subject at each IPCC Final etc level are actually valuable, you shall realise that our syllabus is more like a dumping ground where every new concept brought out by anyone in the world in the 8 subjects we study, is put into the syllabus without thinking about its value. There is hardly any revision or practical thinking on the syllabus. In my opinion, about 35-40% of our syllabus can easily be discarded without reducing the value of the CA profession. Can write much more about the syllabus but later maybe.

I did my articleship in a Big4. I used to work for ATLEAST 10 hours a day. We used to handle independent audits and virtually lead teams too. Plus 2 hours for commuting. Working hours used to vary depending on time deadlines. How can anyone compare watching IPL to studying something so brainblasting like Simplex for example? The brain is so drained by stupid clients and our seniors that there is nothing left to put into studies. On one hand you are saying do 100% articleship and then again saying study after that. I can assure you, if you know what 100% articleship is, it is like a full time job, and then it is NOT possible to study after that. I have learnt tons from the articleship and it is definitely much more valuable than bookish knowledge but please do not say that one should study after ten hours in office.

CA is all about time management. With CA, I did 2 more degrees (with ICAI permission) and also participated in extra curricular activities in my college, all this while in a Big4 articleship solely due to TIME MANAGEMENT.

Its all about time management. There is nothing more important than that.

Ritu, what you are saying is correct. CA Course is not tough to pass, the syllabus is easy to do within5 months only... but it is the controlled passing percentage which makes it tough to pass.  its not the portion or the exam toughness...

IN MY ARTICLESHIP I HAVE WORKED AT ABOUT 10 BIG COMPANIES AND MET TONS OF CA PROFESSIONALS AND QUITE A HANDFUL OF IIM GRADUATES. CAN YOU TELL ME WHY THERE ARE SO MANY CAS WHO ARE PRACTICALLY STUPID THAT YOU WONDER HOW THEY PASSED THE EXAM, AND HARDLY ANY IIM PEOPLE WHO ARE THAT WAY? IM NOT SAYING ALL CAS ARE STUPID, SOME ARE BRILLIANT TOO, BUT AS I SAID EARLIER, YOU NEED HARD WORK TO PASS CA, AND NOT INTELLIGENCE, BUT ITS NOT LIKE THAT IN IIM / IIT / IAS.

I AGREE... BUT THE PROBLEM IS CA PEOPLE DONT GET THOSE TYPE OF JOBS WHERE CREATIVITY IS NEEDED. THOSE JOBS GO TO MBAS. AND THAT IS BECAUSE MBAS ARE TRAINED TO BE CREATIVE, WHILE THE CA SYLLABUS HAS ZERO OR MINUS AMOUNT OF CREATIVITY.

4. Dont even try to compare IIM subject knowledge with CA. I have friends in IIM's. They get jobs on the skills they posses in PPT, communication skills etc. Coming to subject knowledge we r much ahead of them. Once go through the curriculum. 

AGAIN I HAVE WRITTEN THIS ABOVE... I FEEL ALMOST 40% OF THE CA SYLLABUS IS REDUNDANT AND NEEDS URGENT REVAMPING. ITS TOTALLY THEORETICAL. THAT IS WHY CAS HARDLY BECOME CEO AND STAY ONLY AS CFO BECAUSE THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO DO BUSINESS, THEY ONLY KNOW SERVICE LINE TYPE OF WORK LIKE MAKING FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND TAX COMPUTATIONS. IF KNOWLEDGE MATTERS SO MUCH, THEN HOW WOULD WE BE DIFFERENT FROM A HARD DISK FULL OF INFO ABOUT COMPANIES ACT, INCOME TAX ACT AND ACC STDS, ETC? APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE AND ITS PRESENTATION IS MUCH MORE CRUCIAL THAN JUST HAVING KNOWLEDGE. BUT THE CA SYLLABUS DOES NOT LOOK INTO THAT. THESE ARE SHORTCOMINGS WE HAVE TO ACCEPT AND CANNOT BLINDLY IGNORE THEM
