I want to know which voucher to use for recording Sales/ Purchase Returns in Tally ERP9. Under which category, Sales Return and Purchase Return a/cs are to be opened.

you can use debit notes & credit notes in tally. Debit notes for Purchase returns & Credit notes for Sales returns.
You can create separate vouchers for Purchase Return and Sales Return under the respective heads i.e. Purchases and Sales.
