Hello Everyone,
We have recently changed the name of the company, To intimate the same we have to write letters to the bank, PT department, service tax department. Is it necessary to pass a resolution in a board meeting about such intimation and empowering one of directors to carry out the procedures.
We have also filled in " Request For New PAN Card Or/ And Changes Or Correction In PAN Data" :- any compliance regarding this need to be followed
Thanks

Whether it is not essential to pass such resolution but it is recommendatory to pass the said resolution , so that one can be authorized to inform the concerned authorities and implement the change in name.

Thanks for your reply,
So to conclude it means passing the resolution would be best practice, and not mandatory under law.
Please correct me if wrong?

matter of passing of resolution can also be included in the original resolution for change of name of company bt from u r question it is clear that original resolution doesn't contain that matter so course above suggested is the best

No need to pass a separate resolution to update the name status of company in various departments for sure.
Simply prepare a covering letter to update the change of name and attach the certified true copy of the GM resolution for change of name along with new certificate of incorporation consequesnt upon change of name received from ROC, with covering letter.
