Taxation of pf withdrawn before 5 years

30 January 2015 Hi, I wanted to know the taxability of provident fund withdrawn before 5 years of service in first organization. since on the amount credited tax is not deducted, please let me know is it mandatory to show the amount in ITR and pay tax on same?.

31 January 2015 yes as per law PF is taxable but you can avail the relief u/s 89 to the extent possible.
