18 December 2014 i m using tally erp..
i am working on mumbai construction project in which the salary of mr.aashish incurred rs 10000.so i make entry for this into my payroll
dr.wages expenses(emplyee name=aashish)
cr.cash a/c....if i give this type of entry in payroll i can not saw wages in mumbai construction job due to lack of cost center(mumbai project)
so plz advice me that how to do such type of entry with this i can saw wages of aashish in payroll as well as in mumbai project

18 December 2014 You need to define the cost centres.
While "creating account", it prompts for cost centre.

18 December 2014 yes it prompts but i cant understand that i select mumbai construction project(cost centre) or mr.aashish(who is employee-cost centre)




18 December 2014 you have to create the cost center Mumbai then you can see the cost center detail.

18 December 2014 i already create cost centre for mumbai project.......when i make entry in payment voucher about wages expenses then dr-wages expenses and i have two cost centre for this 1 is mumbai project and second is employee name.so if i select mumbai project then effects in payroll left.......and if i select employees name as cost centre then effects in mumbai project is left........so give me advice about this

18 December 2014 Why do you need EMPLOYEE name as COST CENTRE? Dont do that.

18 December 2014 I USING PAYROLL FOR WAGES ,IN THIS I HAVE TO CREATE EMPLOYEE NAME.SO I HAVE BEEN CREATED EMPLOYEE NAME SAY MR AASHISH...SO WHENEVER I MAKE ENTRY IN PAYMENT VOUCHER AND SELECT WAGES EXPENSES PROMPTS EMPLOYEE NAME AS COST CENTRE AND MUMBAI PROJECT AS COST CENTRE....SO I WANT TO GIVE EFFECT AT BOTH PLACE ON PROJECT OR ON MY PAYROLL..........BECAUSE SINCE 1/4/2014 II MAKE ALL THE WAGES PAYMENT ENTRY IN PAYROLL VOUCHER

19 December 2014 you want to do these thing then you confuse himself. its better to you create separate tally data for Mumbai project and then you make entry in Mumbai project and head office a/c,
make it better for you.

19 December 2014 but sir i already made thousand of entry in my payroll since 1.4.2014 so it is only evidence for salary...and also made lots of entry of mumbai project with cost centre..so plz give me way by which i can place entry at both place...is there any solution?
