i have filled my it return f.y. 2010-11 by online and rs. 670/- paid by self assessment tax challan, and after cpc department not count that challan amount in tax and thay give my demand rs 650/-, please advice me what i want do

Hi Chetan,

I would assume that you might have not entered the self assessment tax amount paid in your return, and as a result there is a notice amount.
In the above event, please reply to the assessing officer giving details of the Self Assessment tax paid. If the demand is due to some computational mistake from your side, then you may have to pay the demand amount.

dear sir

thanx for reply but i have already fill up tax amount in my it return and also computation taxable income is same as cpc replied me but the tax challan detail which i given in return is mismatch as per cpc, in form 26as is same which i entered in my return tax amount so what can i do

Pl check the PAN and Asst Year in the challan once, then it is fine, you can put a rectification application to the CPC stating the facts. I hope your problem will be solved
