 Sir,

It is said that people with income of less than Rs 500000 need not file return for FY 2011-12. Suppose a person has salary income of Rs 400000 and interest income of Rs 150000 should he file return for FY 2011-12

 yes he has to file return.

 interest can be maximum Rs 10000

if it exceeds taht amount then return has be filed
