Service Tax on Co-owned property

09 May 2008 A building co-owned by two people is given on rental basis for Rs. 1 lac p.m. Is the exemption available to both of them separately or the service tax is payable as AOP.

Further,the AOP can avail the exemption of Rs. 10 Lacs since in the previous year it rental income was below 10 Lacs
