Good Morning

What is the Excise Tax Accounting code for paying Interest through E-payment. Can you please refer the section, para & page number mentioned in the Excise manual.

Thanks for the reply Mr.Kishore Darole, But please read my second line query.(Can you please refer the section, para & page number mentioned in the Excise Manual).

You have mentioned Tax code i.e, 00380031- Other Duties, What about the Code 00380087- Other Receipt. Can you highlight your remarks ?

Accounting Code 00380087 ( Other Receipts ) use for payment of Interest & penalty.

In this notification, the * The Sub-Head “Other Receipts” is meant for interest/penalty leviable on delayed payment of Service Tax.

As The serial code starts from serial 0038 for Excise duty, no where mentioned in the circular, the accounting code for payment of Interest for Excise duty.

Can you refer the Section , Para & page no in the Excise manual or any notification & circular issued by the Excise department. The accounting code for payment of Interest on Excise
