Dear Experts,
I want to know that-
If I have submitted my ITR online, and not sent the ITR-V (signed hard copy)to the deptt yet, and I want to revise the said return, is it possible to do so?

Dear Mr. Sushil Kumar.. In a simple one line answer you can revise the return.. As section 139(5) of the I T Act 1961 deals with the provisions of Revised Return and per the section a return can be revised in case a person discovers any ommission or wrong statement he can revise the return before expiry of one year from the end of the assessment year.

Now the system in filing of IT return cahnge and a sign copy of ITR -V receipt is to be sent to CPC..but no amendmend and modification has been brought in the section and i do not feel it is required...

So as per my opinion you can revised the original return even if you have not sent recipt copy of original return.

you can revised it but send original ITR V also with Revised ITR V.
Because Revised ITR V will be acceptable after or with revised return only.
