Noc from the previous auditor

A NOC was sought from the previous Auditor by sending Email with an attachment of a letter in MS Word file. Subsequently the same letter was sent through ordinary post.Further a telephone call was made to personally speak to the previous Auditor. No response was received from him within the stipulated time. Whether NOC sought by Email is considered to be authentic ?

09 May 2013 I think you have made ample effort to collect NOC from the previous auditor. You are advised to send him a formal communication again via registered post AD at his office address.

Keep the dispatch receipt of registered post carefully. Based on your genuine efforts you can resume the new office. This is my opinion. You should consult the same from some more experts.
