Responsibility for filing of income tax return

Is there any responsibility of employer for the filing of the income tax returns of their employees working under them and getting salary from them Or its employee's responsibility to file his/her own return .

30 April 2013 Primary responsibility rests with the employee either to file in IT department [section 139(1)] or file with the employer in certian cases { section 139(1A)}.
