12 December 2012 i want to know how to do purchase accounting entry in tally 9 with the new local body tax has been applied for 1 july 2012 in maharshtra state as lbt is directly to be levied on gross bill amt i find diffcult to do the accounting entry for eg if bill is of rs 20,000/- then netvat 15,000 vat 5000 total is 20000/- on that lbt tax is 2% that is 400/- if i do entry like i am doing vat entry then my gross bill increase to 20,400/- which should not happen our bill should remain to 20,000/- and also lbt colum should reflect in tally purchase register other wise i i have to export purchase register in excel and the do lbt tax colum manually please advice

12 December 2012 Keep LBT in other than "purchase" group.
While taking print out of purchase register, you can customise the same by adding the column for LBT.
