  Taxation of Expatriates



Dear Member,

 

tax implications of expatriates in India has thrown open many issues such as determination of residential status, impact of social security contributions made in the home country, treatment of overseas income, availability of applicable ‘tax treaty’ benefit, compliance requirements under the Income-tax Act, 1961 etc. Appreciating the importance of the subject, our Society has organised lecture meeting on the subject of Taxation of Expatriates for the benefit of members and public at large.

The Speaker Mr. Sushil Lakhani is a practicing Chartered Accountant with a brilliant academic record at ICAI exams. He has been a regular speaker at various forums including ICAI, IFA, BCAS, CTC & National Academy of Direct Taxes.

 

Book titled “Taxation of Expatriates (Including certain Non-Tax aspects)” will be released in this lecture meeting. We are pleased to inform that this is the 25th publication under the auspices of ‘Shailesh Kapadia Memorial Publication Fund’. This publication fund was formed by the family in the memory of late Shri Shailesh Kapadia who was President of our Society in the year 1982-83.

 

This book is co-authored by Sushil U. Lakhani, Nitin P. Shingala, Nandkishore C. Hegde & Niji A. Arora.
