Keynote Address by:  Shri Rajat Bansal, Joint Secretary- FT&TR- II, CBDT

Increased competition, slower growth in their traditional markets and increasing pressure from shareholder on returns coupled with increasing demands by tax administrations across the globe have led multinational corporate to structure their growth plans. Several settled concepts are being put to the severest tests and newer tax concepts are being put in place. It is imperative that companies as well as tax authorities understand the changing environment in the international tax and transfer pricing arena.  Countries are making tax laws effective and efficient by having a relook at their tax policies and legislation, on the one hand, and putting mechanism for increased co-operation and exchange of information among themselves, on the other. A new paradigm is emerging in international taxations. Need to impart rounded understanding and enhanced maturity on thinking about  new tax paradigm amongst the tax professionals, both working in revenue services, corporate and professionals are  evident.

To equip corporate tax and finance professionals with the evolving scenario in international tax and transfer pricing, ASSOCHAM is organizing a National Seminar on International Tax & Transfer Pricing as per the following schedule:
