  Certificate Course on IFRS

A warm Greeting from the Ind-AS (IFRS) Implementation Committee of ICAI.

As you may kindly be aware that, the Ind AS (IFRS) Implementation Committee of the ICAI is taking various initiatives to create awareness in the country and abroad about IFRS/Ind AS. For this purpose, the Committee is engaged in the following activities:  
 

  • Formulation of learning Material on IFRS/Ind AS.
  • Conducting intensive IFRS Certification Course in India and abroad.
  • Conducting programmes, seminars etc. on Ind AS/IFRS across the country
  • Identifying international opportunities for members.


Certificate Course on International financial Reporting Standards

An extensive Certificate Course on IFRS is being conducted by the Committee with sufficient classroom training and e-learning facility to make the members competent in this era of IFRS. This Course is conducted at various locations throughout the country and abroad. The Course aims at providing:
 

  • Introduction of the concepts of IFRS/Ind AS
  • Dissemination of knowledge on IFRS/Ind AS;
  • Comparison of IFRS with existing Indian Accounting Standards;
  • Issues in relation to IFRS/Ind AS;
  • Conversion of Financial Statements prepared on the basis of Indian GAAP to IFRS 


The duration of the IFRS Certificate Course is 14 days of class room teaching (on Saturday and Sunday).. Participants will be provided material on IFRS and Ind AS, Power point presentations prepared by the renowned faculties, Objective assessment test at the end of every session. In order to provide practical insights on the principles enunciated in IFRS, case studies on conversion of Indian GAAP financial statements into IFRS will also be taken up at the class. Further, in order to provide guidance to the participants for preparation of examination, Model Question papers will also be provided to the participants. We strongly believe that through this Certification course, participants gain adequate knowledge in the area of IFRS which in turn provides them ample opportunities in India and internationally as well. An Honorarium of Rs. 60, 000/- will be paid for each material prepared only if committee approves the work and it should be of more than 100 pages and comprehensive.

Database of IFRS Gurus

New entrants need guidance from those having experience. We wish to create database of mentors to whom IFRS learners can approach for assistance.

We may further mention that, the Committee is inviting proposals from Chartered Accountants experts on IFRS having knowledge and ability to deliver excellent material on IFRS

The Committee invites proposals from Chartered Accountants having knowledge of IFRS and who are willing to contribute as resource persons in the above mentioned activities of the Committee. It may be informed that a consolidated honorarium of Rs 60,000/- will be paid to the resource person for the aforementioned activities. However, the same will be reviewed by the competent authority and accordingly, the amount will be paid on the basis of standard of work.
