The Committee on Information Technology has been established by the Institute to identify Information Technology challenges facing the profession and convert them into gainful professional opportunities for members by conducting Conferences, Seminars, and Practical Workshops, Training programmes, courses apart from Practice Guides, Training Aids, Softwares and Publications on Information Technology for the benefit of members.

The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, recognizing the need for Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection, in the emerging economic scenario, has decided to launch this Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection. Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection specialization is in increasing demand considering increasing incidents of cyber crimes and frauds detection. It is the practice of utilizing accounting, auditing, CAATs/ Data Mining Tools, and investigative skills to detect fraud/ mistakes.

All the participants are required to bring in their personal laptop with following specifications: 

Windows 7 64 bit preferred or 32 bit
Supported operating systems:
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit)

150 MB of hard disk space for application components
