Advanced Workshop on Professional Writing Skills

The Pen is Mightier than the Sword!

Chartered Accountants have to constantly sign some paper or the other almost on a daily basis. Do we really take care to read what we are signing? How much time do we spend on drafting what we have to sign? Do we pay attention to the fact that every piece of paper that goes out of our office is an ambassador of our firm?

Writing, as experts say, is much beyond just penning down the words on a blank piece of paper. ‘Effective Writing’ would begin with conceiving an idea, thinking over the concept and putting down on paper with a proper flow and logic of the subject.

As Chartered Accountants, while we look to close the busy season of audit by end of September, Infotech & 4i Committee of BCAS brings a great opportunity for its members who look forward to honing their writing skills. The workshop aims at enhancing the writing skills for aspiring writers with a focus on professional writing.

The eminent faculty will guide the participants towards the fundamental requisites of professional & legal writing, importance of understanding the target audience & presenting the subject matter in an effective manner. The workshop will cover issues like writing of case for opinions and also opinions, articles for professional magazines/websites etc.

The unique feature of the workshop is that a practical writing exercise will be also allotted to the participants. The exercise shall be evaluated by an expert panel of BCAS and provide useful feedback to each participant.

The committee has always strived to bring innovative programs to the members of the BCAS and we hope that you will take advantage of yet another such innovative and interesting program.
