The Private Equity & Venture Capital Association of India (PEVCAI) an ASSOCHAM initiative was formally launched by Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Government of India in 2008. PEVCAI’s basic propose is to broad base the concept and practice of Private Equity and Venture Capital in India. Around $ 40 billion of private equity has entered India in the last ten years and it is believed that India will grow to become a bigger economy; an even larger quantum of private equity will enter India in the next ten years. The PEVCAI and ASSOCHAM is organizing the “3rd ANNUAL PRIVATE EQUITY CONVENTION 2012” on Tuesday, 29th May, 2012 at ITC Maurya, New Delhi. The Theme of this Annual Convention is “India @9% Role of PE and VC”. The purpose of this Private Equity Convention is to have detailed discussion and presentations from important Stakeholders, the Ministries and the Industry at large to lay a roadmap for achieving higher growth rate and is expected to see participation from various Ministries, leading Public Sector Banks, Development Finance Institutes, Investment Banks, Private Equity & Venture Capital Firms, Insurance Companies, Micro Finance Companies, Pension Funds, Economists Investors and Industry at large.
