1. Enterprise Resource Planning system is fully integrated business management system covering functional areas like finance, accounts, logstics, Production etc 2. It organizes and integrate operation processes and information flows to make optimum use of resources such as man, money, material and machine 3. ERP promises one database, one application and one user interface. 4. Taking information from every function it is a tool that assists employee and managers to plan, monitor and control the entire business. A modern ERP enchances a manufacturer ability to accurately schedule production, fully utilize capacity, reduce inventory and meet promised shipping dates.

A true ERP system must possess these characteristics: Flexibility : An ERP system should be flexible to respond to the changing needs of an enterprise. Modular & Open : ERP system has to have open system architecture. This means that any module can be interfaced or detached whenever required without affecting the other modules. It should support multiple hardware platforms for the companies having heterogeneous collection of systems. Comprehensive : It should be able to support variety of organizational functions and must be suitable for a wide range of business organizations. Beyond The Company : It should not be confined to the organizational boundaries, rather support the on-line connectivity to the other business entities of the organization. Best Business Practices : It must have a collection of the best business processes applicable worldwide.

Features of ERP are:

1-ERP provides multi plarform,multi facility,multi code manufacturing,multi currency,and multi lingual facilities.

2-It updates information immediately upon entry og any info.It helps in planning strategic and business activitiesand creation of resouces.

3-It has end-to-end SCM(Supply chain mgmt) that optimizes overall demand and supply of data.

4-Provides integrated information system cvering all functional areas

I have problem in system testing, Can u explain me the White Box testing, Black box testing and Gray Box testing
