sheulllllllllllllllWrote on 18 June 2012Pls suggest: as mentioned service tax payable is calculated after deducting the amount of municipal taxes paid from the rent received, In the situation as below : The owner i raising rent bill on his client @ 51000/- plus service tax @12.3% per month (51000+6304) Further owner are paying KMC property Tax including property tax on rent @75000 per quarter. As per norms service tax payable is approx. 3214/- after deducting municipal taxes from rent. ( 51000-25000x12.36%) Since as the owner is receving 6304/- amount of service tax and he is depositing only 3214/- with the department, does the owner refund the excess amount back to the tenant or retain this amount. piyushWrote on 15 June 2012piyushagarwal1987@gmail.com, sir forward me the list in which i can take the claim in repsct of renting of immovable property
