adamyaWrote on 30 September 2011Sanyam Big 4 are good, but they lack on technical term and it’s true. I have seen people from big 4 and can understand that they need to learn a lot. As a big 4 guy, you can just see one ray of whole spectrum but I feel to make wise decision about your career you should have experience of more than one part of spectrum. You being part of IDT, I know small consulting firms who give consulting to Big 4 tax teams (of course clients are not aware about it) The only deferential advantage we have in Big 4 is – it makes you presentable. Otherwise our institute is only institution which put minimum salary range for hiring its student, because most of us don’t even know how to sell one. (And it is not because big four are good but because small firms are bad or unprofessional)
NIKHIL NAIRWrote on 30 September 2011well SANYAM, the merits of Big 4 as u r saying are undoubtedly superb but as the saying goes every coin has 2 sides!! every aspect has its own pros and cons!! what about the dis-advantages?? Obviously if v work in such a big firm, v r gonna miss out our personal enjoyment, study time, and entertainment!! and v will have full knowledge of one field, what about other fields?? its better to b jack of all than being ace of one and not knwing anything bout others!!

Raxit PantWrote on 28 September 2011heeee...if u want to work in big4 as an intern then y did u chose ca...y didnt u go for mba..... Krishna MohanWrote on 27 September 2011I have one question Mr.Sanya, in your Big 4, did you find any chance to finalize the books of accounts or any chance to look beyond the books or you just keep in their Corporate A/c rooms, sipping coffee and doing the vouching work? gargiWrote on 27 September 2011Hi All, Everybody has his/her opinion regarding every aspect of life. So, opinion is never crrect or incorrect. As per my opinion local firms and big 4s cannot be compared with respect to pay scales and clients because big 4s are not firms, they are corporates (companies) to which the local CA firms are affiliated. Its a big network. To understand big 4 it will take time. However, knowledge wise local firms are also really great. Avtar SinghWrote on 27 September 2011My One question dear. I think our priority should be qualifying the CA final examination in very First attempt. Are you getting sufficient time to Study? Would you be able to qualify your CA final examination in first attempt along with the huge burden of work ???? FahimWrote on 26 September 2011To my understanding, lot depends on your end goal i.e. after qualifying CA Joining industry - big 4 own practice - medium sized firm (Agreed by many) Rohit AroraWrote on 26 September 2011hello, sanyam i am worried about that wather to give 1st group or both group...i m average student...supoose if i give single group passed with 75% in may nd then in 2nd group passed with approx.70%.. in other hand if i give both the group in may 2012 nd passed with 60%.so in which situtation i will get good firm for articalship...even big 20. pls help me... |
