As you are kindly aware that the Committee for Co-operatives and NPO Sectors is engaged taking up all issues concerning laws, management, accounting, auditing, taxation of these sector and makes representations on various bills, notifications, circulars and other issues related to these sectors to the government and regulators. The Committee also coordinates with stakeholders of these sectors for the purpose of enhancement of their knowledge base.
Professional opportunities in NPO Sector are many like formation of NPO, FCRA, taxation services like income tax, service tax, vat, accounting etc.

Committee for Co-operatives & NPO Sectors is organizing the meeting for members detailed as under:
a) Professional Opportunities in Co-operative Sector to be held on 21st August, 2014 at 7, Anandilal Poddar Sarani (Russell Street), Anandilal Poddar Sarani Rd, Kolkata, West Bengal 700071 from 5.00 pm to 5.30 pm.
b) Professional Opportunities in NPO Sector/Corporate Social Responsibility to be held on 21st August, 2014 at 7, Anandilal Poddar Sarani (Russell Street), Anandilal Poddar Sarani Rd, Kolkata, West Bengal 700071 from 5.30 pm to 6.00 pm.
This meeting will help the members to enrich their knowledge in regards to handling accounting, auditing and taxation matters of this sectors and how they can contribute to develop these sectors.
As you may kindly be aware the Ind AS (IFRS) Implementation Committee of the ICAI has been making relentless efforts in order to impart education about IFRS and Ind AS. The Committee has been taking various initiatives such as, formulation of Educational Materials, conducting IFRS Certificate Courses, workshops, awareness programmes on IFRS across the country and abroad.
c) An interactive meet for deliberations on the topics of IFRS would be held on 21st August, 2014 at 7, Anandilal Poddar Sarani (Russell Street), Anandilal Poddar Sarani Rd, Kolkata, West Bengal 700071 from 6.00pm -6.30pm
The accountancy function continues to play a strategic role of an enabler of economic growth, in order to take forward this mandate, the ICAI has constituted a Study Group on Indian Economy. The Group is endeavoring to focus on the Qualitative Assessment of the Macro Economic Developmental indicators inter alia pertain to trade, Globalization, Monetary management Fiscal prudence, Financial Reforms, Trade as a tool to Development and recommend measures to the following Indian Ministries and Industries:
